Soakaway installation

Garden soakaway installation: crate system, geotextile and drainage groundworks
We installed a crate soakaway to manage surface water in a residential garden. A square pit was excavated to the design depth, with barrier tape around the works and drainage pipe ready for connection.
A geotextile membrane was laid to wrap the soakaway, then plastic drainage crates were placed in the pit to create an underground attenuation and infiltration system. Once wrapped and backfilled, rainwater can enter the crates and soak away into the surrounding ground rather than flooding lawns or overwhelming drains.
Soakaway installation is a core drainage and SuDS groundworks service. It is a proven way to deal with run-off from roofs, patios and driveways on clay or poorly draining gardens.
