Commercial safety wires: reinstating cable railings on a lake side deck

This commercial maintenance job reinstated all safety wires on a lake side timber deck and walkway. Existing cable balustrades had sagged or failed, leaving open bays above the water. We removed the damaged wires and fitted new stainless steel safety cables with tensioners through the white metal posts.

Each bay was re-strung, tensioned and checked so the horizontal wires sit evenly from deck to handrail. The work restores a compliant edge protection system for staff and visitors using the waterside decking, without replacing the existing posts or timber boards.

Safety wire and cable railing reinstatement is specialist commercial metalwork and maintenance: it improves waterside safety, keeps views across the lake, and extends the life of the original balustrade structure.
