Commercial groundworks: excavating and pouring new concrete foundations

We carried out commercial foundation reinstatement on a cleared plot, excavating strip footings and service trenches to the specified depths. Trenches were dug along existing brickwork and across the site, with manholes, drainage and neighbouring boundaries carefully protected throughout.

Once formation was checked, structural concrete was poured into the foundation trenches to create new load-bearing strip footings. Plant, excavator buckets and a concrete wagon were on site to keep the pour continuous, with barrier tape and setting-out pins maintaining a safe working area.

This type of groundworks is the starting point for extensions, outbuildings and commercial structures. Accurate excavation, clean trench sides and a well-placed concrete pour give a durable foundation that meets construction and civil engineering standards.
